Who We Are
This Weblog was established and is maintained by the Committee on Critical Infrastructure (CCI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).  It is moderated by CCI member Eva Lerner-Lam, M.ASCE, F.ITE and CCI Staff Contacts and is guest authored by members of the Committee. 

Purpose
The purpose of this Weblog is to provide an effective and efficient means of communicating on topics related to our nation's critical infrastructure that are of interest to ASCE members. 

Authoring and Commenting
All members of CCI are granted Authoring right and can post original items.  Comments on Infrastructure Sectors and Special Topics may be posted by members and the general public, subject to moderation. 

• To Post an Original Item on an Infrastructure Category or Special Topic
  Non-CCI members who wish to author original posts to Infrastructure Categories or Special Topics, send an email to the editor with your name, title, organization and phone number for consideration:  elernerlam@palisadesgroup.com.
• To submit a Comment on an Infrastructure Category or Special Topic
  Click on the relevant Category or Special Topic on the right hand column.  Scroll to the bottom of the webpage to the "Submit a Comment" section and enter the required information and your comment into the spaces provided.

CCI does not have an awards program...have you checked with ASCE Awards Staff Director, Jane Alspach, as to whether there are other awards that might be appropriate? jalspach@asce.org.

In 2007, Northern California had a few highly visible emergency repair jobs, one involving levees, two involving bridges. Remarkable work, but does not fit neatly into any award category previously established by Sacramento Section or Region 9, so we need to get creative. Any suggestions? Is there a CCI award, or awards, for projects of this sort?
