From ACI-NA's "@Airports Update" of October 10, 2007: With the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2007 (H.R. 2881) having recently passed the House, and reauthorization awaiting Senate floor action, aviation issues will continue to dominate the fall congressional agenda. The House Transportation Committee, as well as the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, will hold five aviation related hearings throughout the month of October. Hearing topics include: Transitioning from FAA to Contractor Operated Flight Service Stations, NextGen and the FAA's Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast Contract, Aviation and the Environmental Impact of Noise, Examining TSA's Efforts and Progress on Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007, as well as oversight on the Department of Transportation.
